You would be forgiven to deny that Mbappe has won a plethora of trophies among them the iconic World Cup in 2018 at the mere age of 19 years. He has already done what the likes of Neymar and the legend himself Lionel Messi have never achieved which is winning the world cup in their entire careers. That has been the story so far for the 22-year-old French prodigy who is set to dominate football for the next decade if his recent performances are anything to go by. His recent hat rick at the Camp Nou against Messi led Barcelona ensured that the injured Neymar was never going to be missed, and it is without doubt that he is stealthily becoming the main man at PSG, a throne once held by cry baby Neymar over the years. Neymar has been the most influential figure at the Parc de Princess, but he has been hell unlucky with injuries at key moments of the campaign especially in the crucial stages of the Champions League. This has deprived him the much-needed limelight to stamp his authority at the helm of football and with Kylian Mbappe enjoying a relatively healthy injury record, he is becoming the most important player for PSG's project both in the short term and long term. However, with this stellar performances and trophies, comes the doubt of whether he will remain in Paris should the likes of Real Madrid come knocking at the door. He had even insinuated earlier that he may long for a new project elsewhere considering the fact that he has won almost everything at PSG save for the Champions League which he narrowly missed out at the finals to Bayern Munich. It's been a while since Real Madrid shelled out huge money for a Galactico and considering his young age, he would be the perfect choice for Zinedine Zidane as compared to the aging Neymar who will be 30 by next year. It will be such a sorry ending for Neymar who left Barcelona where he was under the shadow of Lionel Messi to become the main man at PSG, only to end up becoming another shadow once again for Kylian Mbappe. Clearly as they say, History repeats itself!
